Our AccomplishmentsWhat have we accomplished? ICS has served over 400 children since its inception. We currently have 62 students enrolled, 42 of whom are returning from last year. The program takes place on a traditional school schedule that consists of 175.5 days and 1,228 hours. We follow the ABeka and Saxon Math curriculums. We administer Stanford Achievement Tests at the beginning and end of each academic year to our K-3 students. The school is recognized as a member of the Association of Christian Schools International, the National Association of Street Schools, the Early Childhood Directors’ Association. We applied for and received our Child Care License from the City and County of Denver last year and received a federal grant for the free and reduced lunch program. Recent accomplishmentsOur students performed well academically during 2005-2006. Some highlights from those results include: · Second graders scored in the 85th percentile among second graders nationally in Mathematics Problem Solving. · Third graders scored in the 68th percentile among third graders nationally in Listening Skills. · First graders scored in the 61st percentile among first graders nationally in Math Procedures. · Kindergarteners scored in the 51st percentile among first graders nationally in Sentence Reading. |
